Regulatory Allocation Computation System (RACS) – New Product Offering

The development effort on a new Regulatory Allocation system is well underway. The new system is being developed using SunGard’s Common Services Architecture (CSA). The CSA model offers SunGard the opportunity to share technology and services within the enterprise, thereby reducing development costs and bringing an improved product to market sooner.  SunGard expects to complete development of the new product by the end of the first quarter of 2007.

The new Regulatory Allocation product, named “Regulatory Allocation Computation System” (“RACS”) is being offered as a service and provides a tool to prepare the Reserve Computation in order to be compliant with the 15c3-3 rule. Functionality contained within the existing SunGard Regulatory Allocation system is being retained while some of the new features include enhanced reporting capabilities and a built-in computation worksheet. The worksheet categorizes the allocation values based on the allocations performed. The worksheet supports both electronic and manual input and produces the required reserve figure.
